Trial by jury – the light that exposes feminist lies

Article here. Excerpt:

'This latest call demonstrates yet again just how tyrannical feminism has become in this era of #MeToo. For the last year there has been a relentless attack on the presumption of innocence, and now we see jury trial itself is on the chopping block. It seems that feminism is incompatible with Enlightenment values such the presumption of innocence and trial by jury.

We see this when the presumption of innocence and due process are now dismissed as ‘reactionary’. When Senator Susan Collins said Justice Brett Kavanaugh was entitled to due process, the Women’s March tweeted out a picture of her calling her a ‘rape apologist’. She received death threats thereafter. Can you think of anything more disgusting than being labelled a rape apologist? This is the choice feminism gives us: you either care about due process or you care about victims of rape. It is an appalling way to debate these issues.

Doña Ana County DA's office defends handling of 'No Mansplaining' signs

Article here. Excerpt:

'The office of District Attorney Mark D'Antonio presented its case against a prohibited practices complaint at a hearing before the Public Employee Labor Relations Board on Monday.
...
Office manager Yvette Sierra testified that when she first noticed a sign on Brulotte's door bearing the legend "No Mansplaining" with a circle and a slash through it similar to a "No Smoking" sign, she did not know what it meant but worried it was discriminatory against men.

Two supervisors at the office, deputy DA's Heather Chavez and Daniel Sewell, testified that they agreed with Sierra, although both admitted only passing familiarity with the slang term.

"I did not find the sign personally offensive," Chavez stated. "I just felt that it's a gender-specific term typically used in a negative context."

Kenya: Botched circumcision of 11 boys probed in Murang’a

Article here. Excerpt:

'The Murang’a government has formed a committee to investigate a case in which 11 boys underwent botched circumcision.

Health executive Joseph Mbai told the Star yesterday that the four-member committee will seek to establish how the exercise was conducted and whether the medics involved were qualified.

The 11 boys had gone for the rite of passage at Wanjengi ACK church in Kahuro subcounty a few weeks ago but were forced to undergo a second cut after their wounds failed to heal.

The boys had earlier been taken to a private hospital for the circumcision by the church but after two weeks, they were taken to Murang’a general hospital where the process was repeated.

Mbai said the team would investigate the private health facility that conducted the cut to establish whether it was licensed and met the required health standards.

“We also want to find out how qualified the doctor who performed the procedure was. If he wasn’t, then the appropriate legal measures will be taken,” Mbai said.'

A new study suggests women earn about half what men earn

Article here. Excerpt:

'Women may face a much wider wage gap than commonly cited data indicates, earning just half of what men earn over 15 years. That's according to a new study by economists who analyzed the incomes of men and women who worked for at least one year between 2001 and 2015.

The standard annual wage gap measured by the Census Bureau shows that women make 80 cents for every dollar earned by a man. But this statistic leaves many women workers out of the picture, Heidi Hartmann, the president of the Institute for Women's Policy Research and an author of the study, tells CNBC Make It.

IWPR's methodology incorporates workforce attachment — those more "strongly attached" to the workforce are defined as working at least 12 out of 15 years full-time and year-round — and looks closely at both the consistency and long-term growth of earnings to capture a more nuanced picture of women's careers.'

'Male-hater misandrist': Australian feminist Clementine Ford in her own words

Article here. Excerpt:

'Clementine Ford is speaking and a man is shouting.

She's addressing a packed Freeman's Bay Community Hall and he's addressing Hepburn St, yelling into a megaphone just outside the doors of the sold-out speaking event.

As she talks, words like 'reprehensible' and 'disgusting' punctuate her sentences like the echo of a pissed off ghost.

The man with the megaphone isn't alone. He's one of about eight people, mostly male and middle-aged, who have shown up to protest the Australian author's presence.

On Monday, a group called Families 4 Justice sent an email to almost every media outlet and politician in New Zealand voicing their displeasure at Ford's event, with the subject line: 'NO to promoting mens [sic] killing and inciting violence in Auckland Council venues'.'

Mom Threatens Child Abuse Charge Against Dad for Not Affirming Son as Transgender

Article here. Excerpt:

'A Texas mother has threatened the father of their six-year-old son with a child abuse charge because he will not affirm their son is transgender.

According to a petition to modify the parent-child relationship brought by mother Anne Georgulas, her 6-year-old son, James, is a “gender expansive or transgender child and, by choice, now goes by the name Luna.”

Georgulas, a pediatrician, is seeking to terminate the parental rights of James’ father, Jeffrey Younger, because the child behaves as a boy – his biological sex – when he is with his father. James’ mother also wants Younger to pay for their son’s counseling with a therapist who will affirm his transgender identity, and for transgender hormonal treatments which may begin at age eight.'

Is Toxic Masculinity a Valid Concept?

Article here. Excerpt:

'The two fundamental objectives in the evolutionary game of life are to first survive (natural selection) and then to mate (sexual selection). For sexually reproducing species, including humans, evolution has endowed males and females with universal matingpreferences that map onto sex-specific recurring challenges faced by each sex during our evolutionary history.

Female fiddler crabs and hens prefer males with extravagantly large claws and tails respectively. Ewes (female rams) will mate with the ram that wins the brutal intrasexual head-butting contest. They reward targeted aggression by granting sexual access. Needless to say, there are innumerable other examples of sexual selection that I might describe, but I suspect that you get the general gist. Are rams exhibiting toxic masculinity? Are female fiddler crabs succumbing to antiquated notions of masculinity as promulgated by the crab patriarchy?

Podcast: UPenn Law Professor Says Radical Feminism Has Made Women ‘Dumber’

Article here. Excerpt:

'Has “radical feminism” been bad for women? University of Pennsylvania Law School professor Amy Wax argues a resounding yes. “Radical feminism has had a baleful influence on college campuses, and on women’s education, in all sorts of ways,” she said. “It’s really made them dumber.”

In this week’s edition of The Daily Signal’s “Problematic Women” podcast, Kelsey Harkness interviews Wax on free speech, gender roles, #MeToo, and “radical feminism.” Wax talks about the dangers of young women taking offense “at remarks that really are not meant to be offensive,” and the left’s constant search to “find sexism under every rock.”

In addition to having a bachelor’s degree from Yale College, a medical degree from Harvard University, and a law degree from Columbia Law School, Wax has argued 15 cases before the Supreme Court on behalf of the Justice Department. Listen to today’s podcast to hear her take on free speech, #MeToo, and modern-day feminism.'

A Middle-Aged Career Woman on the Lies of Feminism She Learned Too Late

Article here. Excerpt:

'Every Wednesday, the second hour of my national radio show is the “Male/Female Hour.” A few weeks ago, a woman named Jennifer called in.

For reasons of space, I have somewhat shortened her comments. Every young woman should read them. This is precisely what she said:
...
"Somebody asked me the other day, ‘Why did you stay single and never have kids?’ There’s answers: Because I was brainwashed by my mother into this. But it’s hard and it’s shameful to tell people, ‘I don’t know. I ran out of time.’'

UK: Juries have no place in rape trials

Article here. Excerpt:

'If we did get rid of juries, we would need more than a judge who has undergone specialist training. Perhaps one option would be to appoint a panel of assessors, such as those that sit on discrimination cases, all of whom would have expertise in issues relating to sexual violence. Panellists could help inform the judge in the case about relevant issues, and remind them of some of the facts as well as the myths; for example, people of all ages, from babies to elderly women are raped (sexual attraction has nothing to do with it); not shouting “no” does not mean consent; and the idea that alcohol is the new short skirt – that a drunk woman is signalling she’s “up for it”.

Until we do something to reform the system no one has the right to ask women why they didn’t report it before – a question all too often aimed at some of the high-profile women linked to the #MeToo movement.

For boys, all-male environments can be an abusive, toxic place

Article here. Excerpt:

'All-male, fraternal environments such as boys-only schools, sports teams and fraternities magnify these gender dynamics and biases. British psychotherapist Joy Schaverien coined the term “boarding school syndrome” to describe how exclusive, hierarchical boys’ academies such as Eton and Harrow teach young men to be bullies, to be loyal to their clique-ish institution and disdainful of “the other,” to bury their emotions and take pride in their capacity to endure pain, to feel entitled and to dominate those weaker than themselves.

And as would be expected, these hypermasculine societies and arenas not only support a culture of aggression and abuse, but celebrate it as tradition in hazing and initiation rituals that range from mild mortification to severe physical and sexual assault.'
