Man charged with domestic battery smearing meatloaf on wife's face

Story here.

'BRADENTON, Fla., Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Authorities in Florida said a man was arrested for allegedly smearing meatloaf in his wife's face while they were discussing a separation.

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office said Lance David Ziegler, 39, allegedly picked the meatloaf up off his kitchen table and smeared it into his wife's face Wednesday after she announced her intention to leave him, the Sarasota (Fla.) Herald-Tribune reported Thursday.

Deputies said they arrived at the home at about 7:45 p.m. and found the woman's face was slightly red and slathered with small amount of residual sauce.

Ziegler, who told deputies he had not hit his wife, was arrested and charged with domestic battery.'

Israel: Feminists attempt to frame a Supreme Court candidate with false accusations

Article here. Excerpt:

'It's is quite rare to have evidence to false allegations. Usually, it's a "word against a word", there are no witnesses. However, this rare story is amazing, you can see online all the evidence and everything links together.

So our story begins at the Law Faculty of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. We have two dominant characters in our story: The first is Prof. Zohar Goshen, a law professor. Prof. Zohar Goshen had been a candidate to become a Judge in Israel's supreme court. The second character is Goshen's colleage, Dr. Orit Kamir, a well known feminist activist and law professor. Prof. Goshen and Dr. Kamir has a well-documented rivalry between them, After Dr. Kamir has accused Prof. Goshen of being "the enemy of women's rights".

Mile-high morality

Column here. Despite its status as vapid mainstream "romantic comedy" fluff, Barbara Kay nonetheless is a good at pointing out key double-standards that remain part and parcel of "modern romance" found in a recent film. Excerpt:

Up in the Air is the Rom Com (romantic comedy) of the year. Most critics love it. It's hugely entertaining, but the surprise ending (spoiler alert!) sends a jarring message no reviewer (to my knowledge) has mentioned.

Side-by-side cases show double standard for murder/attempted murder charges

Via Jeremy S. Read the first case:

Bangor man, 35, guilty in stabbing

'BANGOR, Maine — A jury Tuesday found a local man guilty of trying to kill his ex-girlfriend when he stabbed her twice in the abdomen nearly two years ago outside a Hudson Street apartment.
...
Archer, who took the stand in his own defense Tuesday morning, told the jury that he did not remember stabbing his ex-girlfriend twice on the evening of April 26, 2008, outside a mutual friend’s apartment in Bangor. He admitted, however, that he must have caused her injuries.
...
In his closing arguments, defense attorney Stephen Smith of Bangor told jurors that the evidence showed Archer was too intoxicated on a cocktail of legal and illegal drugs to form the intent to commit either of the more serious crimes. He said the jury should find the defendant guilty only of aggravated assault.'

Abusegate: Mother of All Scandals?

From MANN reader Ed: Article here. Excerpt:

'Mirror, mirror, on the wall, what’s the most colossal scandal of them all? Watergate? Climategate? Tigergate? If you said ‘yes’ to any of these, you’re not even close!

Folks, we’re not talking about a media-adled tempest in a teapot. No, this is an old-fashioned head-banging, sit-down-and-cry-your-eyes-out affair.

Abusegate refers to our nation’s flawed crusade to curb domestic violence (DV). Originally a high-minded and well-intentioned effort, the end-abuse campaign has now fallen prey to an invidious anti-family agenda. In the name of making homes safe, the domestic violence industry curtails fundamental civil rights and often betrays those in greatest need.'

Hey Feminists, Leave The Kids Alone!

Article here. Excerpt:

A crucial part of the feminist movement strategy is to take control over the minds of young children. This becomes possible in a variety of ways. The takeover of the education system and the teaching profession by feminist women leaves our young boys vulnerable to their feminist brainwash before they are old enough to develop their own judgment.
.....
Women's organizations claim that Superman might "Encourage young children to try to fly". Yes, you are not mistaken. This is actually what they have claimed. It is clear that the real motive behind it was an attempt to censor a healthy male role model for boys. This is how crazy feminist brainwashing in Israel has become.'

Canada: Another "Teacher Accused of Having Sex with Teen" Story

Story here. At least once, in the second paragraph, they mention that she was charged with sexual assault. B ut notice how the whole tone of the story is defensive towards the teacher, not a shred of sympathy for the assault victim. Excerpt:

'An elementary school French teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with one of her former students has been arrested and suspended from the Toronto District School Board.

Mary Gowans, a popular teacher at Joseph Howe Senior Public School in Scarborough, has been charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation.

Police allege the 40-year-old Gowans and young teenage student had been "engaged in an inappropriate relationship" since June 2009.

In an effort to protect the identity of the student, investigators said they are not releasing the victim's gender, although numerous police officials with knowledge of the case referred to the student as a "he."'

Contender for Massachusetts Senate seat co-sponsored Shared Parenting Bill

F&F article here. Well, I really do not care if he is a Republican or Democrat. Any politician who supports a shared parenting bill is worthy of consideration, in my opinion, what with the shared parenting struggle being as uphill as it is. IMJ, no person you may otherwise prefer or not prefer as a candidate or office-holder can be ignored out of hand if he or she supports shared parenting. Excerpt:

'The race to fill the late Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat has become a national media story, as polls show that upstart Massachusetts Republican State Senator Scott Brown (pictured) has pulled even with favored Democratic Party candidate Martha Coakley, Massachusetts’ Attorney General. President Obama has come to Massachusetts to try to save the race for Coakley–this in a state where Democrats outnumber Republicans 3-1.

Senator Brown has been a co-sponsor of Fathers & Families’ Shared Parenting Bill, has met with F & F Board Chairman Ned Holstein, MD, and has spoken at a F & F meeting. Dr. Holstein explains:

UK: Boys failed by education system says Eton headmaster

Article here. Excerpt:

'Tony Little said that the different sexes required different teaching methods to bring out students' potential and that GCSEs favour girls more than boys.

He also blamed teachers for failing to realise that boys are "more emotional" than girls, despite the fact that girls "turn on the waterworks".

Mr Little, who co-hosted the International Boys' Schools Coalition Conference at the Guildhall with David Levin, headmaster of City of London School, said: “As a nation, we do not support and nurture boys, especially teenage boys, at all well.

“It is foolish to assume that boys can always be helped in the same way as girls. We feel our education system needs to face up to that fact.”

Boys, he believes, require a more physical and active style of learning. He said that an increased verbal element of GCSEs favoured girls over boys and that educational techniques had become skewed because of the male-dominated society of the past.

Title IX: Lawsuit Thrown Out

Article here. Excerpt:

'HARRISONBURG, Va. — A group fighting against JMU’s Title IX cuts to varsity teams announced plans to appeal a court’s Dec. 30 decision to throw out their case against James Madison University.

A federal court struck down a lawsuit brought by Equity in Athletics, a non-profit and tax exempt status, for JMU’s relegating 10 varsity athletic teams to club status in July 2007 to comply with Title IX’s requirements for gender equality in federally funded education programs.

Larry Joseph, an attorney for EIA based in Washington, D.C., said he was not surprised by Judge Glen Conrad’s decision to throw out the case.

“He basically showed his hand at the beginning of the trial,” Joseph said.

The Equal Opportunity in Education Act, better known as Title IX, was made a federal law in 1972. It stated no person may be discriminated against for his or her gender in a federally funded school activity. Although this certainly applies to academics, most of Title IX’s publicity has come from the world of athletics.'

UK: A couple of lovely English roses

First we have a rapist who rapes her victim 200 times:

'A single mother had sex with a 12-year-old boy almost 200 times - marking each encounter with a star in a sordid diary.

"Angela Sullivan, 36, could face an indefinite jail sentence after admitting ten child sex charges.

"Sullivan even bought the youngster a pair of trainers as a reward when the pair slept together for the 100th time, Teeside Crown Court heard.'

***

Then we have a brain-dead example of Britain's world-class (HAHHAHHAHHAAAA!!!!) education system:

"A teenage mother was investigated by police after photographs of her six-month-old son with a cigarette in his mouth were posted on Facebook.
...
"Rebecca then declared her love for her son, writing: 'Why Would SomeOne Do That To Me U Ollie No was taking U Yur Mine for lyfee Darlinggg Mummy Loves You :)'"

New Zealand: Airline’s ‘cougar’ ad blasted by rape victims

Article here. Excerpt:

'AUCKLAND, New Zealand - An advert for an airline competition that portrays older, single women as "cougars" who prey on young men at night is to close on Monday after incurring the wrath of both male and female rape victims in New Zealand.

"Cougar" has become a popular term for sexually aggressive older women on the hunt for younger men, with actress Courteney Cox recently starring in TV comedy "Cougar Town." But the term can be viewed either as misogynistic or a word of empowerment.

An online spoof documentary by Air New Zealand, promoting a competition for free tickets to a rugby tournament, tells of a so-called cougar starving herself during the day then "hunting large slabs of meat at night" by stalking young men at a bar.
...

New Zealand's Rape Prevention Education has labeled the ad appalling, disgusting and degrading to women, adding that some Air New Zealand staff were also concerned about the promotion.

Male Studies Program at Wagner College

Announcement here. Excerpt:

'A gathering of academicians drawn from a range of disciplines will meet on April 7, 2010, at Wagner College, Staten Island, New York, to examine the declining state of the male, stemming from cataclysmic changes in today’s culture, environment and global economy. The live teleconferenced colloquium will be co-chaired by Judith Kleinfeld, PhD, Professor of Psychology and Director of the Boys Project at the University of Alaska, and Lionel Tiger, PhD, Rutgers University Charles Darwin Professor of Anthropology. It will encompass a broad range of topics relevant to the study of boys and men in contemporary society ranging from their roles in the family and workforce, as well as their physical and emotional health, to the growing problem of misandry—the hatred of males, an unacknowledged but underlying socio-cultural, economic, political and legal phenomenon endangering the well-being of both genders.'

Woman who murders three young men receives lower sentence than man who steals a scarf

Story here. Excerpt:

'Jeanette Sliwinski, a former trade show model, killed three men when she collided into the back of their vehicle at over 90 miles per hour when they were stopped at an intersection. She did it intentionally, trying to commit suicide. She initially said she purposely drove her car into the parked vehicle, then changed her story. She served less than 4 years for her crime. Oh, and a broken ankle.

See the article here. A few quotations:

"Cook County Circuit Judge Garritt Howard, who presided over the bench trial, sentenced Sliwinski. She could have received up to 10 years for the reckless homicide conviction, but the judge said he factored in her lack of violent history and what he found to be her diminished mental state."'

California Teen Made Up Rape, Kidnapping Story

Article here. Excerpt:

'RICHMOND, Calif. — A 15-year-old California girl who told police she had been kidnapped off the street and raped now says she made up the story.

The Richmond teenager had claimed she was forced into a car with four males at gunpoint Friday night and driven around for several hours before two of them raped her.

Lt. Mark Gagan says the girl called Richmond police around 1 p.m. Sunday and told them the story was not true.

The girl says she had had consensual sex with someone, but needed an explanation for why she had not returned home Friday night.

Gagan says dozens of patrol officers, detectives, forensic technicians and nurses had been working on the investigation. Police found physical evidence Sunday that confirmed the girl had made up her initial story.

In October, Richmond police say a 16-year-old girl was the victim of a gang rape outside a homecoming dance at a local high school.'
