Story here. Excerpt:
"Ranchi, April 20 (IANS) A woman in Jharkhand killed her husband with an axe after he complained about the stale dinner, police said Sunday. According to the police, Chamni and her husband, Buran Munda, residents of Harbul village located around 25 km from Ranchi, together drank `hadia’ (local liquor) Friday night.
She served dinner to her husband, who complained that the food was stale. Irked, Chamni picked up an axe and hacked her husband to death. Her four children witnessed the crime."

Well of course
Sure it's entirely understandable. I mean, here's the list of reasons:
1. She was drunk. She can't be expected to be able to control her actions. In fact her husband probably egged her on to drink. Really, it's his fault.
2. She had a good reason- many in fact. He was probably beating her. He was probably molesting and beating the children. He was probably raping her every night after drinking that stuff.
3. He was planning on killing her himself. She was just pre-empting the attack. It was self-defense.
4. He was a Pakistani spy and she found him out, too. She did it to save her country from ruin. She is in fact a patriot.
5. She had a mental disorder. She can't be held responsible for her actions. She needs help, the poor woman.
6. She is undereducated. Of course she will resort to violence since she has been denied education and so the means of coping with her anger. Again, she is the victim here.
7. She has never been loved in that patriarchal society. She snapped. No one can blame her.
There, that's just 7 very good reasons why we should be proud of her rather than condemnatory. Hell, her dead husband (that monster!) should be arrested and charged posthumously with every one of those crimes I mention above. As they sang in "Chicago", "He had it coming!"
There, that explains everything. Now everyone can go back to bed and forget about it.
Police questioning
First question the police ask when they arrive at any scene of domestic conflict:
"OK. Who has a penis? We'll need to take you into custody for possesion."
oregon dad
He complained...
He complained, that makes her a battered woman and justifies a woman murdering a man in the eyes of evil domestic violence laws.
indian reason : he harassed for Dowry
he must have harassed for dowry . when reality 95-98% of the men are the ones who financially provide in marriage
