Teenager files civil lawsuit in De Anza baseball rape case

'SAN JOSE, Calif. -- A teenager who told authorities she was gang raped last year by members of the De Anza College baseball team has filed suit against the players.

The civil suit was filed Monday in Santa Clara County Superior Court. It comes a year after the girl reported she was raped - and nine months after the Santa Clara County District Attorney decided not to file charges.

The teenager seeks an unspecified amount of money from nine former players and another young man who attended the party. ...She is not identified in the suit.'

This may be a new gambit to get some advantage, in this case money out of a false rape accusation.

First, cry rape! Then after the charge gets dumped by the police (there is no real penalty for making a false rape accusation after all) file a civil suit. The burden of proof is much lower in a civil suit than in a criminal charge as rape.

A sympathetic misandric jury will award a huge monetary judgment because as we all know women just don't lie about a thing like rape.

I have always said that a false rape accuser is a rapist and a false rape accusation is rape but now the victim still has to pay even if he or in this case they win!

However, an upside to this is it may be the stimulus that FINALLY gets legislation making a false rape accusation a major felony.

I wish I had a job where I could writing 10 sentences and call it an article. This "article" provides almost no actual information from which anyone can BEGIN to judge the situation. If nothing else, information about WHY the DA decided not to file would have been relevant. Lazy journalism.

I don't see here any rape accusations. Also, it seems that even for feminists it's not economically viable to imprison nine men for the benefit of one chick of seemingly very easy virtue.
