That's a full time job in itself, though I'm glad to see that so many people are paying attention to this in spite of the attempt to swamp everyone's attention with the Imus flap. This case really did involve a nappy headed ho, of sorts...

I wonder what commentators such as this (another page with zillions of comments, this one from a year ago) think and are saying now. I haven't heard a lot of karma-balancing, but maybe that's yet to make an appearance.

My impressions were always somewhat similar to Usher's -- it was a botched/clumsy attempt at blackmail/extortion from some presumed rich kids who would/could pay up to have the thing swept under the rug (think Kobe Bryant). Yea, he went on to muddy the waters a bit by introducing some peripheral issues so he could grind some familiar axes, but I hope the accuser is still being (fairly) scrutinized.

I think it helped a lot that the rape shield laws didn't come into play this time around, not that an aggressive media can't bypass them anyway in these high profile cases which get tried publicly. Yes, we should all be concerned as ever about the low profile cases. Rape is the most over-reported crime out there.

I saw some lady feminist pig on CNN, she was in one of those "talking heads" conversations. She initially says she is glad justice ultimately prevailed, but immediately after that she belies her true feelings on the issue, by getting angry and bent out of shape, and saying among other things that "the lives of those silver spooners has not been ruined at all..".

Also some idiot commentator on the same network, said, "Gayle is mentally ill..she might have thought she was telling the truth." Oh I see, the fact that she kept contradicting herself later, was due to each of her multiple personalities telling their own version of the truth.
