Educating Students on Gender-Based Violence
Link here. Excerpt:
'Catholic Education South Australia is proud to partner with Port Adelaide Football Club to deliver their Power to End Violence Against Women program, an education initiative committed to preventing gender-based violence in schools across the state.
Since 2016, the program has harnessed the power of sport to engage Year 10 students in meaningful conversations about respectful relationships, gender equality and the drivers of gender-based violence.
Developed in partnership with Centacare Catholic Community Services and the South Australian Government, the evidence-informed program complements the Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum taught in schools across the state.
The initiative has since expanded to include a companion program supporting young women, helping them build confidence, recognise healthy relationships and challenge harmful gender stereotypes.'
