"Strong, Independent Women Are A Mess": Video Essay
Better Bachelor presents a video essay with an optimisitic commentary, including links and quotes to several articles: "Everyone Sees It But The Left - The Strong & Independent Women Are A Mess." At one point in time, anybody that talked about men's issues were tucked into some corner of the web called the bad place, where Manosphere and Red Pill and all the other evil evil, those evil men were hustled off into where you weren't supposed to notice and anything they say is bad and evil. But a growing trend continues and it's very hard to miss actually where mainstream news places such as Forbes and Fox News and Fortune magazine and all these other places that that are that are not men's spaces. They're starting to realize a lot of guys that have been complaining about this stuff are right now. ... They can never say that those guys are right, but if you just kind of quietly observe what's happening in news and culture, you'll realize that everybody is starting to see it.
Even [mainstream news] are noticing ... how feminism created an insufferable class of supposedly infallible females. So, I've got several articles that I'm going to read from, but this is us winning. You know, as much as they give us guys a hard time for saying these things or talking about statistics, and you'll get shouted down on the internet anytime you talk about these things, once again, if you just maybe back off and change the wording a little bit, you'll find most of mainstream news is actually supporting us when you get away from the leftist news, you know, like CNN and MSN, MSNBC or MS Now or whatever they're calling it, you'll actually see that, yeah, I think at least conservative groups or what I would like to call "normal" masculine men, they're saying, "Yeah, this is exactly like these guys are actually kind of right." They'll never say we're right, but they're starting to see and say the same things that we've been saying for years.
- Growing trend of hating men seems to backfire as anti-marriage movement leaves single women losing out (FoxNews, NY Post): This is becoming more mainstream. More people are noticing what men have been bitching about for the last 10 years.
- How Feminism Created An Insufferable Class Of Supposedly ‘Infallible Females’ (The Federalist): "The feminists have overplayed their hand. Men and women are finally rejecting their tyrannical, entitled, and condescending mien. They certainly won't go down without a fight, but it's a fight they've already lost despite their infallibility. Or maybe because of it, they just haven't realized yet." But here's the problem with this. Men have already left. Men have already decided to tap out of the market. Men have had enough. And there's and I don't think you're going to bring back a large segment of men.
- No Wonder Men Are Opting Out (ZeroHedge, Tyler Durden): There's a lot of guys that just can't make it because they're being held down. And then they look around and say, "Well, what's the point of making it? Because there's no winning on the far side of this. It doesn't mean I'm going to get a woman or a wife or a family. So what's the point?"
- From the article: "Ehrenreich has made up the argument that marriage and productivity were inseparable and that same mechanism which got men to the altar got them to work. And the data suggest she was right. What Ehrenreich did not fully reckon with and could not have foreseen in 1983 was that the inducements for tying the knot would collapse. The shame mechanism has disappeared. Yes, but the incentive have simultaneously imploded. The product on offer has changed beyond recognition. If you want to understand why men are voting with their feet, you need to look not just at what marriage now costs them. And the costs are severe, but what it delivers. Increasingly, what it delivers is a pretty dud deal.
- Modern women: a prospectus: They're the most miserable, anxious, and insecure cohort in living memory. Hardly great marriage material. Most married women go off sex and the husband who objects is seen as the problem. Many women don't actually like men very much. The more educated she is, the higher the contempt. They've gone full throttle left. And three quarters of college educated women won't even date a man who votes differently. They've rigged the education system and colonized corporate and institutional life, turning universities and workplaces into man repellent factories. Yet their hypergamy is still running hot. Despite outnumbering men in education and careers, they still demand a tall, equally high status unicorn. The modern female threat detection system is hyperactive. Almost any male behavior, silence, opinion, jokes, even breathing gets flagged as a as a red flag. They're extremely well-versed in the lucrative economics of divorce, including a well-timed false allegation to eliminate tedious shared parenting."
- 9gag.com (9gag, a meme community) But the the days of this being in the walled off garden in the dark depths of the YouTube manosphere/red pill selection, it's not just there anymore. You know, I go to a couple of meme sites and other places because I like to see, you know, I at my age, I try to see what younger people are talking about and younger guys are looking at and and younger women because I try to keep a pulse on what's going on with relationships and men and women and because I do have interest in this. ... But the one thing that I think is interesting is quite a few of them [on 9gag.com] are anti-relationship. And many of the guys in in this on this particular meme site, many of them like women, they love women, but they when they speak of women, they don't speak badly of women until it comes to how women are acting and the way women are having only fools accounts and the way women are becoming easy and high body counts and you can't trust them. And they want to see women change. They don't like how women are right now. And so I think that's what many in the mainstream media and many that are in these feminist organizations and in the universities and in these corporations that say, "Oh, these guys just hate women and they they they don't want women to be independent and they want to shackle them back in the in the home barefoot and pregnant and they can't work." And and that's just that's just not true.
