U.S. News: A "gender gap" in Cardiovascular Disease

mens_issues writes "U.S. News & World Report has a feature called "The End of Heart Disease" in its December 1 edition. This issue has a graphic on page 42 titled "SEX AND DEATH - a gender gap in cardiovascular disease." This graphic implies that women are at a disadvantage as they suffer more cardiovascular deaths than men. This is misleading as men (on average) die of their heart attacks several years before women. [Note: the online version didn’t have this graphic]."
