Feminism is creating opportunities for girls. But what about our boys?

'I was at a women’s leadership summit in October when a woman rose to ask a panel of female leaders and activists a question. It was the same day the U.S. Senate was voting to confirm Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, and the room carried a mixed sense of relief and dread — at least we were together when so much was still raw. The mother’s question silenced a buzzing room.

“What if,” she wanted to know, “your sons are becoming the thing you hate?” Her teenage sons, whom she loved fiercely, and who she made sure traveled to see the world’s beautiful diversity, had rejected her progressive vocabulary and morality. In a room that had been celebrating women’s progress in a tough time, no one could really tell her what to do about her boys.'

Not only has she blasphemed, she's also raised her son to be a door-mat for females to walk all over. As for her daughter, who can say what'll happen. She may discover heroin at the tender age of 16 and that'll be that. Or maybe she'll decide to major in Women's Studies and thus work at Starbuck's. As for the boy, I see a string of convenience store clerk jobs and years spent playing video games in front of him.

Success is definable many ways. Reproductive success is, biologically, just being able to do it. The bigger version is you produce self-supporting, well-adjusted adults.

Is a woman who raises her kids like this one does going to see that? Where pray tell is the children's father? No mention of dad at all.

"Values" as they are called show their desirability or lack thereof based on the outcomes they produce. This mother is raising kids with a certain set of values. Will the outcomes associated with or attainable by living these values be desirable, and by whose standards?

Feminism HAS actually created opportunities for boys. Just not the kind most mothers want to see their sons avail themselves of. These include but are not limited to: un- and under-employment, habitual dope-smoking/other drug addiction, non-functional rel'ps w/ the oppo. sex, pusillanimy, and excellence at playing video games.

Feminists wanted to rewrite the social contract so that it favors women tremendously. They mistakenly believed men would keep their part of the contract. Men have discovered they don't have to sign the contract to begin with. They don't have to marry and they don't have to have kids. Avoid marriage and fatherhood and a man can still have a decent life. Thus, more and more men are choosing this route and "going their own way.
