We have been swamped with phone calls,e-mails and visits to our
websites...regarding not only this important Conference during Domestic
Violence Awareness Month, but many crisis calls along with requests for
information.

The last few weeks have made us even more committed to the visions of
both of the Co-sponsors of this event!

The sheer numbers of callers in need of services speaks very clearly to
us that we are a necessary addition to services already available! We
have been attending an increasing number of hearings as DV
Advocates, the Helpline is experiencing an incredible upsurge in calls
and registrations for this Conference are coming in a steady flow.

The reason for this e-mail is to remind you to register soon so that
you won't be among those who wait to long. Space is limited to the
first 400 registrants and our deadline is Oct.4th before the ticket
price increases.

More and more everyday we are receiving positive feedback ,not only
from individuals who work in the helping professions, educational
institutions, medical facilities and State Agencies, but most of all from
those who suffer the effects of abuse in their personal lives! We are
receiving validation that yes...we ARE "Making a Difference"!

PLEASE...register to attend what some are saying could be "the most
important Conference that has come along regarding these issues ...in a
long time!"

Join all of the people who have already commited to adding their
voices, increasing their awareness and forging important connections at

Our Communities...

Domestic Violence Conference

Your presence,your voice,your ideas,your perspectives and your
compassion are important.  The time has come for all of us to join
together in order to assure that every victim of violence and abuse has
a place to reach out to and an understanding voice to speak to.

This is a Conference where"politics and personal agendas" are left
outside the door so that open and "inclusive" communication can take
place.

The time has come for new solutions, new initiatives...and new voices to
be heard.

Let's work to blend the old and the new so that we can end the
devastation that occurs in our Communities when voices of victims can
not be heard!

Please take the time to join the many who are meeting on "common
ground" to "Take a Stand Against Violence" on October 18th .

Your attendance will send a clear message that you are ready to forge
alliances with those who are ready to make changes and progress!

Presenters from across the country are coming to share their ideas and
experience...registrants are coming from everywhere to take ideas home
with them and make much needed changes in their communities, while
sharing their resources with us.

A regionally well known musical talent and "advocate/activist" will be
joining us to share his music so please come early and enjoy your
"morning coffee" while listening to him. He will perform for us while
we all settle in for our Keynote speaker and the beginning of our day.

The future of services in in all of our hands...important work needs to
be done...and will be...!

Come spend a few hours and add your voice and your visions to this
important initiative.

Please forward this to others you think may be interested and feel free
