India: High court sets aside rape-of-minor conviction
Story here. Excerpt:
'Setting aside the conviction and life sentence imposed on a farmer by a trial court on the charge of raping a minor girl, the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court observed that the prosecution should be vigilant enough to conduct the investigation in a right manner and bring home the guilt of the accused in a flawless way.
This is imperative, as “any failure on the part of the prosecution would definitely go to the benefit of the accused,” said Justice B. Gokuldas. Allowing a criminal appeal filed by farmer Chellappan from Gandarvakottai village in Pudukottai district, a division bench comprising Justices K.K. Sasidharan and Gokuldas said that the medical officer who issued the certificate of the minor girl had very clearly mentioned that there was neither external injury on the private part nor any internal injury in the form of tearing of hymen.
The judges observed that Mahila Court in Pudukottai district imposed life sentence to the appellant under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 on the charge of raping a 11-year-old girl in a cashew grove in Pudukottai on June 2, 2013, without cross-examining the evidences submitted by the police properly.'

so black male athletes are
so black male athletes are being denied the opportunities afforded by obtaining an advanced education because of a preference originally introduced to insure women are represented equally, even as their numbers skyrocket due to all the women only scholarships, affirmative based policies and all the other gender based freebies? the courts have ruled that even if women become 90% of the student population due to all the free stuff, privilege and gov. handouts, they will also be due 90% of all the athletic scholarships.
isn't this just another example of what happens when privilege is legislated to compensate for past perceived wrongs? anybody ever heard of any of these forced 'privileges' being revoked and society returning to normal, which was supposed to be the point of these diversions away from the principles our founders set forth?
imho, this is one heck of a lesson for universities to be teaching. not unexpected of course, w/ the most transparent prez. eevvaaarrr yet to bring forth any documentation showing he has ever even attended college, much less graduated.
having grown up watching one marxist regime after another fail, even up to present day disasters like Venezuela and others, this type behavior does not surprise me. in fact, I have always wondered how normal, honest people got duped into letting such awful people get control of their governments. now I see it clearly. thus the old saying, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
