"Inside Amy Schumer's Season Premiere Burned So Many Idiot Men Perfectly"
Article here. Excerpt:
'Do the dolts who think that women aren’t funny finally feel stupid? If they watched last night’s Season 3 premiere of Inside Amy Schumer [link added], they sure should have. Every single sketch examined gender relations in ways that were playful, unexpected, and hilarious. Exposing the stupidity of men and the bullshit they get away with has long been an m.o. of Schumer’s, but there was a consistency throughout last night’s episode that I hadn’t yet witnessed on Inside. The show felt pointedly political and was better for it.
...
Then there was “Football Town Nights,” aFriday Night Lights parody featuring Schumer as the white wine-guzzling wife of a high-school football coach who comes to town with a revolutionary message: don’t rape.
...
In it, Schumer encounters heroes of hers dining in a meadow to celebrate Dreyfus’s “Last Fuckable Day.” “In every actress’s life, the media decides when you finally reach the point where you’re not believably fuckable anymore,” chirps the actress who’s about to be put out to pasture. Specific examples follow (like Sally Field going from playing Tom Hanks’s love interest inPunchline to his mom in Forrest Gump). And then the revelation that barely needs to be spoken but lands like a bomb nonetheless: “Men don’t have that day!”'

Schumer is actually funny, though misandrist
Really, she's very funny. And a misandrist. Listening to her on XL ComedyCentral on Sirius XM, I can say her schtick is both funny and often self-deprecating. But perhaps one reason for her expressed and supposed romantic frustration is that she actually seems not to like men as ppl all that much. She may be straight, but actually interacting w/ men doesn't seem to appeal to her, unless it's to rail on or about them. No wonder her romantic life is in the drink! Oh well, at least she's earning her own damn way. Prob is, part of that way includes misandry.
As for where the author's coming from, it's obvious: man-hole-land due to drinking the Feminist Kool-Aid. Sad, really; chalk up another casualty.
She's right. Women have a
She's right. Women have a "fuckable" expiration date men dont. So poor women?? She's forgetting that in our prime (say ages 16 to 25) we are practically worshiped because of our "fuckability". Men dont have that.
There are pros and cons to both genders. If nature plays out correclty it should all even up in the end.
Well said, Kris
Women might have an expiration date (though the older I get, the longer women get) but men don't. In fact, being older is sometimes helpful for a man.
As you say, it all evens out in the long run. There are advantages to being a woman and advantages to being a man.
