Remarks by the President At Working Families Champions of Change Event

Article here. Excerpt:

'So when a baby arrives or an aging parent gets sick, too often workers have to make gut-wrenching choices about whether they can afford to be there when their families need them most. Too many women face unnecessary difficulties on the job, like the difficulty of being paid less than a man for doing the same work. That’s a difficulty. (Applause.) Or being reprimanded or fired for taking too many bathroom breaks when you’re pregnant. (Laughter.) Clearly that’s a man making that decision because they don’t have five pounds of kicks pressing down on their bladder. (Laughter.) Or being forced to take leave when they’re still perfectly capable of doing their work.'

I voted for this idiot... TWICE

I am so sorry for this.

Now, when I see him engage feminists, I see him as someone poping in and playing the part of Prancing Peacock, defining himself by estrogen.

I am embarrassed that I voted for him.

Wow. When will Obama understand that women get paid less than men because:
-they are likelier to be part time, not full time
-they work less overtime
-they take time off to raise children more often
-they work less hazardous jobs which require less travel, and actually tend to choose such conditions over higher pay (male to female death on the job ratio is 19:1)
-tend to choose degrees which lead to lower paying jobs i.e. social work over engineering

So, no they are not being paid less for the same work. Men make 23 cents more than women per hour and earn every penny!
