The absolute worst thing would be to take genuine steps to address the boundaries that had broken down in their relationship. It’s not like this has anything in common with assault, so let’s just sweep it under the rug and forgive the parties involved, okay? And post-haste, just so we can avoid any inconvenient or awkward conversations about abuse or any other real issues.'
