UK: Companies forced to reveal number of women staff
Article here. Excerpt:
'From next October quoted companies will be made to carry out gender audits and report publicly on the number of women and men they hire.
The recommendation was contained within the Lord Davies women on boards review, which urged companies to get better at scouting and hiring talented women into senior management roles. At present women make up just 16pc of FTSE 100 board roles.
The mandatory requirement to list the number of women and men in jobs will help shine a spotlight on gender inequality, the Department for Business said.
It is hoped that investors will pile pressure on companies to up the number of women employed should the gender audit reveal low numbers.
Business minister Jo Swinson said: “It’s widely acknowledged that the UK leads the world in standards of annual reporting, and that those standards are rising every year. However, over a period of years reports have become longer, more complex and increasingly difficult for shareholders to navigate.'

Uhhh... I am not sure where
Uhhh... I am not sure where to begin. This is terrible!
Companies have to get better at scouting for women?
Are they going to have to list how many asian, gay, black, vegetarian, etc employees they have as well?
More Misandry
Is the Lord whoever group also looking at custody, conviction and sentencing, unsheltered homeless, workplace injuries and deaths, battlefield injuries and deaths, work in fields such as veterinary medicine/nursing/early childhood education/psychology, equality in number of stay-at-home parents, outdoor housework (taking out the trash, mowing lawn, fixing gutters, etc..), suicide victims, paternity leave options, equality in the dating game, etc.. ?
If not, than I say they are full of crap.
