Porn And Video Games Are Ruining The Next Generation Of American Men

Article here. From June but contains some stuff I have suspected myself. There is no doubt in my mind that the access to all manner of distractions, whether it be pornography or games or something else, has had a really bad effect on our children's (and especially, it seems, our sons') abilities to get and remain focused on more productive and valuable pursuits likely to serve them in life. Excerpt:
'Psychologist Philip Zimbardo claims that today's young men are destined for failure because of porn and video games.
In his controversial book The Demise of Guys: Why Boys Are Struggling And What We Can Do About It, Zimbardo and co-author Nikita Duncan outline why he thinks men are failing in education and personal relationships.

-Females currently outperform males at every level, from grade school to graduate school. Boys are 30 percent more likely than girls to drop out of high school and college, according to the National Center of Education Statistics.
-In 2011, young men's SAT scores were the worst they had been in 40 years.

-Research shows guys aren't interested in being husbands, fathers or the head of the household.*

*Well this I can understand. I think young men have caught on to what is happening to men as they have seen fathers and uncles dragged through the divorce mill and shafted by the "family law" system. After watching that, who'd want to take the risks associated with paternity?

Growing up all I wanted to do was have a decent job and be a good father. As I grew into a man I learned that a system was in place designed to turn my sexuality into a legal and moral nightmare and turn my capacity to reproduce into a psychological and emotional weapon to be used against me. We are the lost generation of men fated to grow up in this hateful propaganda soaked matriarchy. I think, ultimately, that this is a price that men have to pay for thinking we could hold absolute dominion over nature and chance.
The words "Fuck the world" ring out loud here. If this next generation of men falters and falls the way they are projected to it will be the end of America.
Something else occured to me
The whole notion of "objectification" is as vacuous a concept as "stereotype." Neither of these concepts are logically coherent or purvey anything real. What do you mean "objectify"? Of course when I'm dating a girl her body is important. Am I the one doing the objectifying here when she shows up with six different anti-aging creams on her face, her special lift-bra on and her yoga pants rammed up her ass crack? Doesn't that imply that she WANTS observers to notice her physical qualities AS AN OBJECT? Of course she has a mind and is an autonomous subject, everyone knows that, every single man on earth understands that. But when she walks by with those yoga pants on I feel a rumble in my balls. Isn't that perfectly natural and healthy? This word "objectify" just seems like another hate-soaked attempt by the matriarchy to turn the natural function of the male psyche against itself in their never ending campaign of sexual terror.

Your first paragraph nailed it. The male role of working and being a father has been destroyed. So what are men to do?
I also think you're right: if men falter and fail, America is done for. I also suspect we're beginning to see the end right now. We're a house divided. The more women try to make sure they always get the better end of the deal, the fewer men will participate in the deal.
For a species to survive,
For a species to survive, there has to be healthy offspring to become independent adults and contribute to society; and the cycle repeats. Generally, only healthy families make healthy offspring. The only way for healthy families to form is if men and women need each other equally. Currently, the genders are off balance in their need for eachother and as a result healthy families are not forming (divorce, single parenthood, welfare dependency, etc)
I have often thought of a a hypothetical experiment where society takes away all birth control and abortion. Then watch and see how women treat men. I think women would no longer sleep with losers and good men would be highly valued.
I already know from experience that girls who do not have access to abortion and birth control are far pickier about their mates. However high school boys are not concerned with this as they are too busy having sex with the slutty girls . Girls that have easy access to birth control and abortion are more promiscuous and wind up with unintended pregnancies anyways. I cringe whenever I hear a parent tell me they are going to put their daughter on birth control the moment she turns 13!
So why are men watching porn and video games?...It's that saying about human nature in a nutshell.... we move towards gratification and away from pain.
