Nerve Fault Linked to Domestic Abuse?

ronn submitted this article from BBC News. The article talks about a small-scale study which found that domestic abusers had a problem with the response of the vagal nerve when stressed. This problem would then imply that those who suffer from it would have less control over aggression. The authors of the study were careful to point out that the results were not conclusive, probably because a finding like this would have nothing to do with abuse stemming from the oppressive hegemony of men over women. I also find it curious that the study didn't include women, and whether women could have this disorder in similar numbers as men. Source: BBC News [UK news network]
