'For years, I have felt a general feeling of isolation and rejection. However, it's perhaps only over the last few years that the extent of how much of this is actually real has been dawning on me. For I have come to realize, not just how discriminated against and oppressed I have been, but how I have been brainwashed into believing that it is somehow acceptable and, even, justified.

Why have things been allowed to get so bad? Well, perhaps it's not easy to stand up to this kind of insidious hostility if we are alone, isolated and lack the tools and language to respond in a constructive way. It's time that this started to change.'
