'Circumcision of healthy male infants is not recommended by any medical association in the world, including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association. In order to protect children from medically unncessary surgery, medical professionals and medical centers must stop offering to perform such surgery.

High Country Healthcare's Silverthorne Clinic (located at 265 Tanglewood Lane, Suite E-1, Silverthorne, CO 80498) currently performs neonatal circumcision at parental request. This petition is to ask Silverthorne Clinic to stop performing circumcision.

Medical associations which do not recommend circumcision of healthy male children include the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Canadian Paediatric Society, the American Medical Association, the British Medical Association, the Royal Dutch Medical Association, the American Cancer Society, the Royal Australian College of Physicians, the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia, the Australasian Association of Paediatrics Surgeons, the Australian College of Paediatrics, the Swedish Paediatric Society, and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.'
