A better way to see more non-anti-male ads on TV

Boycotts and letters may have some marginal effect on media's misandry. However, it seems more and more likely that giving public recognition to marketing departments who don't follow the crowd in this manner might be even more effective in squashing modern culture's affinity for male bashing. Commercials like Pledge's newest spot could be a shining example of how marketing campaigns can deliver effective advertising without male bashing while even displaying *gasp!* gender equality. If the people responsible for that Pledge commercial were given some public support/recognition for gender equality, they'd eat it up. And let's face it, society takes marketing to heart most of the time and sometimes uses it as a template for behavior: "Well in this commercial/movie the girl got her way all the time by having a temper tantrum and screaming - that must be acceptable, right?".

Another point that must be made is for the need to dig up comparable commercials from the days when there actually was male chauvinism and a glass ceiling. If direct comparisons (or better yet, mirror images) of modern male-bashing commercials can be found, this approach has a high likelihood of completely nullifying most feminist arguments for modern misandry in the media. Wouldn't that be a lot easier than trying to out-scream the feminist movement?

And the perfect complement for boycotting and mass letter efforts.

Hardly. Feminism has a knack for thinking double standards are not only acceptable, but necessary.

2x-standards that are pro-female are called 'leveling the playing field' in their parlance. Any such 2x-standards that are pro-male are termed 'patriarchal oppression'. They really won't be satisfied until men, generally, are under the abject control of women in general. Most men simply do not grok this and unless they do fast, it'll come to pass. Estimate? Hard to say. History has shown that courses can turn due to forces of circumstance no one anticipated. But currently the trend is toward feminists getting more and more of what they want in terms of 2x-standards directed in their favor as not. That has to be stopped.
