NFL star player stabbed by wife, undergoes surgery

'Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall is recovering in Broward General Hospital after he underwent surgery for stab wound and he is expected to make a full recovery.

The wound was reportedly caused by a woman, but Marshall's agent would only say, "This is a very difficult time for Brandon and family, thankfully he will make a full recovery ... We simply ask that his privacy is respected."

UPDATE: Marshall's wife, Michi Nogami-Marshall, was arrested last night on a domestic violence charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is currently being held on $75,000 bond.'

Notice that men get charged with murder for the same crime, but women get charged with a lesser offense, in this case "aggravated battery with a deadly weapon." Also note that the bail amounts are less for women. According to the CNN account of this same incident, the bail was set at only $7500 for this violent woman. For the wife of a very high paid athlete, this is nothing, and certainly no incentive to keep her in the country, should she want to flee.
The whole legal process is so stacked against men, I'm surprised that men put up with it (must be some twisted sense of honor or duty). Why aren't there any lawyers out there pressing class action suits on these differentials?
