Jon Stewart's 'Daily Show' is not sexist, female staffers write in open letter

'For a sexist pig, Jon Stewart sure is charming, according to his female colleagues.

More than 30 female "Daily Show" staff members -- including Samantha Bee and newly hired correspondent Olivia Munn -- released an open letter Tuesday slamming reports that the satirical news show is discriminatory.

"While rampant sexism at a well-respected show makes for a great story, we want to make something very clear: the place you may have read about is not our office," the letter states, addressing itself to the "Dear People Who Don't Work Here."

The lengthy diatribe comes in response to Irin Carmon's blog entitled "The Daily Show's Woman Problems,” which was appeared on Jezebel.com on June 23.

Carmon criticized the Comedy Central show after it hired Munn early last month, claiming female correspondents are a "short-lived phenomenon." To back up her claims that the “Daily Show” is a "boys' club," Carmon interviewed several former female employees who did not feel they were treated fairly.'

Stewart has a solid history of airing misandrist shorts and commentary. I have noticed that men who seem the most anti-male also are the most likely to have the qualities of the "classic male chauvinist" as well in their attitudes toward women. Maybe some psychologist reading this post can explain why this phenomenon occurs? In any case, I hardly have sympathy for him. If his show went off the air tomorrow, I'd be fine with that.

God I despise Olivia. If you YouTube her with Dr. drew on Attack of the Show you'll see how she genuinely wanted to ridicule men's sexual issues/concerns. In the very same segment she interjected protective statements for women; of course in the typical "no man is worth..." dialogue.

In another episode she felt compelled to ask two women who were part of the show's act if they were OK with having their butts poked with sticks by the two hosts Kevin and Olivia. If your not familiar with the show you should know it is basically the crude internet humor on TV. The sad part is that Olivia took no issue with rating videos of men being hit in the groin which happens about every other episode.

They put Olivia Munn on the Daily Show?

I already was sick of her from Attack of the Show. She's an insecure, foolish little idiot girl who knows nothing about anything and needs a lot of makeup to look halfway decent, with tiny little tits.

I'm tired of seeing her on my free Maxims because the photo shoots with her are always lackluster.

I'm not surprised she's a misandrist.

Wouldn't it be nice if men stopped hiring idiot eye candy and started hiring people with talent?
