Girl, 12, turns her life around after removal from mother

'SHE had been an obese, ungainly child whose personal hygiene was "deplorable". But less than a year after living with her father and his new wife, the 12-year-old was almost unrecognisable, having shed 17 kilograms and discovered a newfound confidence.

The dramatic turnaround came after the girl was removed from her mother, who allegedly worked as a prostitute and had exposed her to inappropriate sexual issues.

In granting sole parental responsibility to the father, Family Court judge Sally Brown said the improvement in the girl's life was "such compelling evidence of the detriment to a child of inadequate parenting and the benefit … of more than adequate parenting".

"The outcome of the child's move to the father's care has been dramatic, and dramatically to the child's benefit," Justice Brown said. "She is very fortunate to have the support of a loving father and a remarkably able and loving stepmother. In their care, she is thriving."

The father had been concerned that his daughter had been neglected while in her mother's care and was at serious risk as a result of the woman's mental health, drug use and lifestyle.

The woman had violated a court order by refusing to hand her daughter over until April last year, when she was arrested and the girl went to live with her father, the court heard.'

I constantly see crap in the media that basically says men are the destructive force in the family while women supposedly are all pure. I know that the sanctifying of women, wives, and mothers and the vilifying of men has to do with feminism but feminism is also putting a spotlight on women. This is just one reason I see that feminism is going to self destruct. Just consider the feminine culture we live in: instead of news we have gossip, all the whore-ish shows, date-able vampires, trying to get men thinking like women, teaching women to live for just themselves,all the women in managing positions at universities, and women being injected into the political shows and politics. There is just no way feminists will be able to keep calling women victims or maintain the idea that they ever were. Feminists are encouraging women's bad behavior, and keep repeating "your a victim, get what you can". And when feminists try to teach men to think like women they are also making men more keen to the wrongdoing of women. I keep thinking this crap cannot last.
