This Thursday and Friday, our crack team of VAWA-reform lobbyists will be visiting Capitol Hill. To maximize their chances of success, please dial 1-202-224-3121 and ask to be connected to your Representative’s office.

Tell the receptionist your Name, City, and these words: “Investigate Abusegate!” Tell them to probe the corruption and fraud of the domestic violence industry.

Agreed. You can still do good by calling in support of this inquiry though.

Alas I am not a full-time site admin. Also sometimes I am not always able to check email every day 2-3 times. And sometimes I get alerts about these things the day or night before they should get posted in such a way that they can be most effective. Add all that up and you get things like posts for action items getting placed on the site at times that are not necessarily at the optimal time.

Nonetheless, a lot of these alerts are sent out via multiple channels, so the chances of activists getting word by some channel are pretty good. What MRA/FRAs experience in terms of delayed comm'n around opp's to act in concert with others are, if it is any consolation, similar to the kinds of issues activists in other causes also experience.
