They appear to have been drowned by their mother who then attempted to kill herself, at least according to neighbours and the media outside of Canada. So far the RCMP and other sources have refused to comment on the investigation. The Canadian press has been flooded with stories about "domestic disputes" and "bitter custody battles" in an attempt to blame the man for this woman's alleged actions.
