"Gendered response" violates UN Universal Declaration on Human Rights

I wrote this and then thought: "Hmm, we got some work to do."

The precedent of "genderizing" catastrophic relief efforts must be stopped NOW, nipped in the bud while we have any hope to do it; otherwise gender feminists who, among other means, want to see men just die off by natural disaster calamities, will start winning in their efforts.

The UN needs to know this is not going unnoticed. They are the central authority for handling trans-national relief efforts when governments are too busy or otherwise too afraid to do too much around natural disaster victims. (That would seem to describe the current state in Haiti.)

It is really very sad that this disaster now has become a political football not just for this issue but for many others. But I guarantee you if the east coast of the USA suffered the same fate, not only would that happen (ie, political football-hood) but it would be a huge international political football the likes of which has never before been seen. So there is no avoiding it.

The UN has a special sub-site for women called "WomenWatch". It is filled with discussions of how women in Haiti need all the help they can get. It is as if there are no men at all in Haiti as far as the UN is concerned! So let no one have any doubts about where the UN is on this topic. But since misandry and its related ills are to be found all over the place, we cannot let it stop us.

Contact the UN and let them know you know what is happening here and you don't like it. Contact the relief organizations that insist on "genderizing" their efforts and tell them: You know what they are doing and you will not stay silent about it. Tell your office-mates and colleagues, family and friends.

Remember (here in the US) when HIV awareness among the gay community in the 1980s was first arising, the slogan used was "Silence = Death". That is true here in no uncertain terms. Men will die in Haiti because they are men - unless the men who are not in Haiti make it clear that what these aid organizations are doing is intolerable. And make it clear to them that donations to them will not be forthcoming from you until they stop "genderizing" humanity, especially with life and death decisions.

That women are the weaker sex and cannot possibly be "equal" to men - particularly within the scope of a "natural" disaster.

You need a job done? Like rescuing trapped people?
MEN are the best prepared, emotionally and physically, to do such things.
