Lesbians make 'better parents', says senior parenting official

Article here. Excerpt:
'Stephen Scott, director of research at the National Academy for Parenting Practitioners, has said his research shows children from lesbian couples do better in life than the offspring of heterosexual couples.
"Lesbians make better parents than a man and a women," Mr Scott told a meeting for the launch of think tank Demos...'
I hope the UK MRA's start getting this deconstructed. Personally, I'm 100% sure that once the study's methodology is assessed, this so-called study will prove to be, at best, misleading and, at worst, false.
[Ed. note: obviously, if dads are worthless, then two mothers are better than one. Right?]

Children raised by gay men
Children raised by gay men probably also do better, as do heterosexual couples who do invitro or adopt. It has nothing to do with the people, it has to do with the amount of commitment needed in those situations to have children. There are no accidental, unplanned, and unwanted children among couples who can't have children biologically, for whatever the reason. And since there's a high cost associated with adopted, surrogacy, and invitro, those choosing to do it are likely more financially stable. So to summarize the article should really say, "Children of households with financially stable, committed parents do better", and then anyone who thinks that is "news" should take up another career.
Then why is my cousin living with me?
My cousin is staying at my house currently. Her parents are multimillionaires, they have been together for 40 years, they afforded their children every opportunity in life. She is a useless, drug addicted, layabout who has never supported herself a day in her life in spite of being given the best of every opportunity to do so. She is staying here presently because she got kicked out of rehab for sucking dick for drugs.
She is well educated, world traveled, multilingual, and has always had the best.
So it's not always planned, committed, financially stable parents who produce the best offspring either.
I'm just trying to pawn her off on either her husband or her boyfriend, I don't really care who
I meant statistically, it's
I meant statistically, it's not a universal rule.
I know lol
And I agree with everything you wrote, just frustrated that I have to put up with the exception to the rule right now in order to maintain peace in my family. Did not mean to sound like I disagree I just want that useless girl out of my house as soon as possible. I have no sympathy for her
Exactly right, It's Dan
I seriously doubt they factored that reality in the study at all.
manonthestreet Look we

Look we should all just stop listening to all these idiot who have the arrogance to tell us all how we should live. We should stop thinking that we need a survey to tell us anything about human behaviour. How ridiculous it is to consult some 'expert' who as asked a few questions when making ones mind up about anything. Does not common sense and experience count for something? Are all our beliefs to come from statistical surveys ? Don't we have minds of are own?
