'It is still difficult to take in: that the catalogue of sexual abuse of very young children revealed in this week's paedophile court case was carried out by a 39-year-old female classroom assistant, at a nursery called Little Ted's.

In a sordid three-way exchange, Vanessa George swapped pictures of children in her care with another woman and a convicted sex offender businessman.

The fact that two of these paedophiles were female - and also mothers - is sickening enough without the fact that the victims had been entrusted into this sick woman's care by parents who were unaware of her true nature.

But what was even more upsetting about this case is that it subsequently emerged that 20 per cent of all sexual offences against children are now committed by women.'

As a PERSON who believes that PEOPLE can be evil, it pisses me off to read a headline that somehow suggests that females acting in an evil deviant manor are some how the aberration and that men are acting in evil and deviant ways is the norm.

Just cause we do not arrest the 90%+ women who sexually molest own their children does not mean that we should think that the women who sexually molest other peoples children are the extremely rare example.

Why do I say 90%+ women sexually molest their own children? Because ANY father seen in public doing the types of things that pretty much every mom does to her kids, would end up in jail. Taking pictures of their toddlers in their new 'hooker boots', or getting their little girls to shake their booty while cheering them on, or hugging and kissing them all over their face and chest and shoulders, ect... Now I know this is all normal, completely innocent and totally harmless behavior by moms, but we do arrest dads for it.

Thing is, women having pedophillic tendencies are most likely at least as common as males. No way of knowing for sure as we think it is rare to catch a male pedophile, well, for a female to get caught she HAS TO be acting as extremely as these two women, so it would be orders of magnitude less likely for the average female pedo to get detected.

I think one of the main messages we need to get across is that no one can compare rates of anything until women are reported, investigated, charged and judged in the same way that men are (should have added 'targeted' to that list).

By the way, did we all 'run for the cure' this morning? (eyes roll)

My cousin had to have a mastectomy sue to breast cancer, so my aunt ran. I agree that breast cancer should not get ALL the caner funding though.
