Report asserts sports fans "linked to sexism"

'The homophobic jock might be more than just a stereotype, says a new study that links sports zealots with attitudes about gender and sexuality.

University women's and gender studies professor Elizabeth Reis said she's not surprised by the findings.

"It seems to me that what connects these things is hypermasculinity and susceptibility to peer pressure and irrationality," she wrote in an e-mail.

Reis said that being a sports fan probably does not make a person sexist and homophobic, nor are all homophobes and sexists apt to watch men's basketball and football.'

The women's studies professor might be more than just a stereotype, careful analysis and consideration will apparently link gender feminist ideology with misandrist attitudes about gender and sexuality.

and

...being a gender feminist liberal probably does make a person sexist and misandrist, but all misandrists and sexists are not just gender feminist liberals, some are chivalrous conservative misandrists.

It seems to me that misandry connects these things in women's studies students, using gender feminist lies (ideology) and women studies students' susceptibility to peer pressure and irrationality.

And THAT is why they are the primary sports fans.
Why women try to play men's sports is beyond me.
Why don't women invent their own sports?
Seriously.

Then, maybe they'd have enough female sports fans to justify a following.
But I doubt it.

Women's sports competition are boring to watch.

If they really wanted to improve attendance, they'd make the college girls perform in the nude.
THAT would definitely bring out the fans. But, again, mostly men.

Feminism and male sports co exists like drinking coffee with a fork. They know the best athletes in the world are men. They realize men will build 1.5 billion dollar stadiums to watch their favorite athletes. They know men often watch sports with each other -- you don't see that with women. Their jealous when Derek Jeter makes 20 million a year when WNBA players barely crack six figures. They cry foul but are unwilling to accept the market determines value. This is because MSG sells out when the Knicks play and the same arena is half full when the NY Liberty play. Their only recourse is Title IX. They try and eliminate collegiate male sports to somehow even the playing field.
