Philippines: "What (police) men can do, women can do better"

Article here. Excerpt:

'MANILA, Philippines—For a woman chief of police like Superintendent Lailene Amparo, duking it out in a man’s world like the national police force is not as hard as it seems.

In fact, she said, what policemen can do, policewomen can do better.
...
“Eventually they got used to having a woman police chief,” Amparo said in an interview after the weekly media forum at Camp Crame on Friday.
...
Amparo’s advice to other women who want to venture into the man’s world: “If men can do it, women can do it too. Sometimes even better.”

I wonder how great she'll feel once she gets her head blown off. Gee I wonder what kind of "advice" that will send to other women?

If women can do "it", they can also get "it" too. It's just lame how women who get these positions make it into such a great privelege. It is somewhat prestigious I guess too attain these kinds of status sure, but I believe there is a lot that offsets the greatness of that status in terms of heightened responsibilites, stress, and so on.

I also wonder if she'll actually act like a chief and not hide behind the men who are supposedly below her when a situation of danger should arise.

Anyway, good for her. I bid her Good Luck.

I believe that the things you are doing now are very good and after finishing doing that you should promote the promotional mugs. I am sure that this would have a real success.
