God, that's creepy. She actually thought she owned his genitalia and had a right to cause harm to it. I hope they give her life in jail.

• I think we are laughing at it because a mans peepee is the most important thing in the world to them. It is a double standard but think of all the women who have been and still are physically and mentally abused. Young girls who have acid thrown on them and shot at in Afghanastan just for going to school. I don't condone this behavior at all. I guess we can look at it as affirmative in action.

Women are not compassionate. This woman typifies the the fascist nature of women. He's a man so he has to pay because some guy in Afganistan supposedly through acid on a woman, so by virtue of him being male it's ok to set him on fire because he's one of "them". Women's compassion only extends to themselves and other vaginas.

It's beyond me how anyone would be able to laugh at something like this. It makes me want to vomit. And as for our penis being the most important thing in the world to us, it defines our gender and is necessary for reproduction (not that that ain't a losing deal for us, anyway). So, yes, our penis is as valuable to us as a woman's uterus is to her. What the hell is wrong with that? I hope karma bites all these people in the ass in one way or form. The good news is that it will. If you're grateful for the tragedy of another, you draw a negative things into your life.

This is what I had to say:

First off, I would like to commend the commenters who took the time to condemn those who either think this is a big joke, or have tried to rationalize the actions of the perpetrator. Those posts which claim that there is no shortage of idiots in the world clearly have been proven several times over.

I can't believe some of you are cracking jokes about this and what happened to John Bobbitt. Or that some of you think that Mr. Narayan and Bobbitt, deserved what happened to them. I would be grateful if I never read another article desribing a vicous act like this ever again. Others, however, appear to rejoice in the pain of others, or men, I should say. If the genders were reversed, NO ONE would be laughing.

Vicky seems to believe that since women are treated poorly by men in Afghanistan (a region where countless MEN have died in the hopes of freeing those who are oppressed), that Mr. Narayan deserved this for being the same gender.

So, let me get this right. A man who lives 1000s of miles away, and has nothing to do with the oppression of females in another country deserves to be punished (and brutally, might I add) for said oppression because he has the same reproductive organs as the oppressors? That makes as much sense as me rejoicing when I hear of a woman getting mutilated, because of what happened to John Bobbitt. Or rejoicing when a woman gets robbed at gunpoint, since so many women have extorted men through paternity fraud and allimony. Would that be right? No. Rejoicing in news like this isn't either.

She also claims it's humourous, because men care so much about their "pee-pee"s. Well, of course we do. Our penis is as important to us, as any female reproductive organ is to a female. Why men are chastised for this, I don't know. I know women who actually talk to their boobs. By this same poster's logic, then, a women having her labia and breasts set ablaze by her husband would also be funny (Of course Oprah would disagree). Of course, domestic violence, in any form, be it man v. woman, or vice-versa, is completely unacceptable, and is not something to laugh about. This article is proof that it is actually men who suffer the most severe injuries in domestic violence (since only a woman could rationalize causing irreversible physical harm to another's private parts).

In closing, I would like to point out that whoever has the nerve to joke about this (or laugh at groin shots for that matter) is actually horrifically sexist and has a deep-seated hatred of men, whether they realize it or not. Much like if one were to rejoice in a tragedy happening to one race, but not another, would clearly be a racist. You can say you're joking to deal with the tragedy, but I don't buy it. If it's tragic to you, you wouldn't be cracking jokes or finding any of them funny! Shame on you!

Those of you who find the jokes amusing would be lucky to suffer a similar fate as Mr. Narayan. That way, you'd have a funny story to tell for the rest of your life, if you survived...
