Four Men Become First Males to Major in Women's Studies at K-State

Story here. Excerpt:

'Four men have become the first to pursue a degree in women's studies at Kansas State University.

Program director Angela Hubler says the men are breaking ground in a way similar to equal-rights activists Frederick Douglas and John Stuart Mill. She says students who major in women's studies are committed to social justice issues.

University officials say there are many job opportunities for students who major in women's studies, including law, counseling and politics.'

There may be jobs in law, counseling and politics, as long as they know they'll never actually be a lawyer, a counselor, or a politician.

"She says students who major in women's studies are committed to social justice issues."

Considering all the Stalinist tyranny that's come out of that major (women's studies), I'd say justice is the most inaccurate word that could ever be used to describe it.

This is text directly from the splash page for Women's Studies at KSU. It is a futile attempt to validate a totally ficticious form of scholarship.

"Women's Studies is an academic discipline itself--like philosophy or anthropology--that has both its own subject matter and its own perspective on knowledge. The subject matter is women, but that includes more than just the "great" women who broke the barriers of gender roles and achieved fame in fields previously reserved for men. Women's Studies is concerned with humankind's whole approach to women and the universal phenomenon of gender roles. Women's Studies classes are important for men as well as for women because an understanding of gender roles can benefit everyone."

" ... concerned with humankind's whole approach to women..."

What drivel! I am concerned with understand how the people who make Crayola crayons come up with the names for the 160 colors!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Whatever you say. They'll learn they have a worthless degree soon enough. If any of these women, or men, were worth a shit they wouldn't be studying how other people broke into important and high powered fields. They'd be busy breaking into them themselves. But obviously they don't have the brain power or motivation for that!

Truth is, with our feminized and chivilrous political system , a person might actually find a job in politics with a Women's Studies Degree.
