New South Wales: Young girls using more drugs than boys

Article here. New research has revealed more young women and girls in New South Wales are using drugs than their male counterparts.
The Nationwide survey shows five percent of NSW females have tried illicit substances over the last year compared with just over three percent of boys.

that's in Australia. In US girls are going to nowhere too:
One of the most alarming revelations was ninth-grade girls are engaging in alcohol use and binge drinking more often than boys in their grade.
The survey showed 36 percent of freshman girls report having used alcohol in the last 30 days, and 20 percent have drank five or more alcoholic drinks in a couple of hours, compared to 26 percent and 16 percent, respectively, for freshman boys.
