National Post: The plight of divorced dads
Via Marc A. Article here. Excerpt:
'Of the myriad forms of discrimination men cite, one looms over the rest: The egregious treatment meted out to fathers in the throes of contested child custody following the "no-fault" divorces most of them did not initiate or desire. My files bulge with stories of disenfranchised fathers ripped from their children's arms and lives. They have lost their homes, their careers, fortunes, friends and reputations, often on the basis of false allegations of abuse (for which their female accusers are virtually never punished). I wouldn't mention such anecdotal evidence, if the anguish in these testimonials didn't jibe with objective data confirming the shameful gender bias that dominates the family law system.'

Time to send this lady...
...some thank-you emails. She's a lonely voice in the wilderness, and a welcome one at that.
Her email address appears at the bottom of her article. I've sent along a thank you note, and I'd ask that others here do the same if you have the time and agree with what she says.
The only way she'll ever be able to keep editors who want to appease feminists (by playing gender politics in women's favor) off her back is if she can demonstrate to them that she has enough of a following to keep up their circulation. Our emails and letters may help to keep her from being silenced.
un-freaking-believable
just a few years ago this woman's voice did not exist.
Prediction: she will be silenced. talk about non PC.

Thank You!
I didn't get to read the story
cause the site wouldn't open for me for some reason. But the excerpt was profound in itself. I want to send her a thank you email too, if I can access the page sometime. It's pretty cool. I've noticed there are a considerable amount of women who sympathize with us. I was telling a female co-worker of mine, Stephanie, about how a man was raped at a party then forced to pay child support after the woman got pregnant with his kid. Steph was as outraged as I was when I heard about it. I submitted the story to the news page. It should be up soon. Another female co-worker agreed with me that it's stupid to tax men more, like those Harvard ignoramuses suggested. When women agree there's a problem, that really says something. Then again, some always have. Esther Vilar was one of the first.

That was a great article. I wrote Barbara a thank you email right after I read it. Intelligent women like her could really help us. I told her about this site.
