Dedicated MRA Completes Eighth Day of Hunger Strike

John Murtari has completed eight days without food or water in protest of the injustices meted out by the so-called family courts. read about him here in MDN. Excerpt:

"Drawing on his faith, John Murtari is enduring the suffering that comes from eight days of dehydration and starvation, surprisingly, conditions he imposes upon himself. Murtari, father to Domenic, 13, decided his 6-month sentence for child support arrears would include the 'nonviolent action of noncooperation,' to draw attention to the need for Family Law Reform and Parents’ Civil Rights. Murtari, a faithful, loving, gentle man graciously calls it being 'uncomfortable,' yet speaks in a weak voice, saying the feeding tube he once feared was, 'now the best thing I can imagine.'"

On the off chance there might be someone reading this who will be in the Syracuse, New York area tomorrow there will be a public rally in support of John and his non-violent protest. Join the rally if you can.

I had the truck out all day yesterday (just warming up), and today it's parked near a high traffic intersection.

Here's a photo taken Monday in front of local City Hall, obviously just across from the fire station.

You could hold your own one man protest in front of the court house. It is your right and it may even get more publicity from the media. Also, it will be a lot of fun too!

here is his website with a map to the courthouse:

Just an idea.

Hey, sounds like a great deal!
Here is his address in the clink. I am sure he will be glad to hear from you and your dinner offer. Send him a gift coupon from that steak house if they sell them.
