"Gender Insurgency" in the Art World

It's a gender insurgency paid for with our money! Yay! It's it just so sisterly and loving and in-your-face and !@#$ing WONDERFUL? Excerpt:

'Call it the year of the woman ... in the visual arts! With symposiums, heavy-hitting shows on the East and West Coast, and a smattering of smaller exhibits around the country all dedicated to feminist art happening now, it's a veritable gender insurgency waged on the hallowed white walls of the art world.
...
The rest of this confluence was pure conspiracy. Activist patrons, artists, curators, and scholars organized these events to make a big publicity splash. And the Feminist Art Project (FAP) at Rutgers University in New Jersey, initiated in late 2005 by Judy Chicago and the late feminist art writer Arlene Raven, was its fountainhead. Organizers there are promoting feminist art's reach through 2009 with a series of publications, symposia, and exhibitions.'

...is on a par with racist humor. It's degrading to both men and women.

I can see the exhibits now. Vaginas, vaginas and more vaginas.

It's childish of women to expect men to stop thinking of them as nothing more than vaginas (a word derived from the latin word for sheath or scabbard - making the English word "vagina" quite literally translatable as "penis sheath" or worse still - "cock wrapper"), when so-called activist women do so at every opportunity. Vagina art. Vagina plays. Vagina books. Even better is the feminist attempt to make "cunt" an female-positive word.

So many women are busy defining themselves as vaginas that it's perfectly understandable that many men are simply following their lead. Apparently it's empowering to think of a woman as nothing more than her genitals, which are defined by the feminists themselves (who specialize in the overuse of "vagina" and "cunt" in everything they say, think and create) as being nothing more than a wrapper for a penis. I don't see how being called a penis wrapper empowers women, but I guess I'll have to take the feminists' word for it. Apparently calling women "cunts" is equally empowering. And here I thought it was a pejorative term. Who knew?

When feminists stop defining themselves as vaginas, they can ask men to do the same. Until then, they'll have to put up with the apparently empowering idea that women are nothing but a bunch of cock wrappers, all thanks to feminists.

Our liberal education system is so eager fo a female president. Hillary's main demographic is single, young, educated women. What better place to support feminism than a college campus that is 60% female? (ie: women studies)
