RADAR ALERT: Outrage Over Sen. Biden's Latest Put-Down
Presidential candidate Joe Biden has a habit of saying the wrong things at the wrong time, like his recent remark about Illinois Sen. Barack Obama being "clean." This past week, Biden had this to say about male victims of domestic violence:
"There is no doubt that we have made tremendous progress battling domestic violence in the past decade ... Everyday women, children and sometimes men, in Delaware and across the nation live in fear in their own homes."
"And sometimes men," Mr. Biden???
Men are just as likely as women to be victimized by partner violence – a fact that was already well-known to researchers back when Sen. Biden first wrote the Violence Against Women Act. But thanks to Sen. Biden's VAWA, men who need help are instead ridiculed and shunned. Or worse – they're labeled "abuser" simply because they're men, and their abuser is labeled "victim" and given a free pass.
Besides discriminating against victims based on gender, VAWA also routinely violates the civil rights of the falsely-accused.
This week, RADAR is asking every person who reads this Alert to make a 1-minute telephone call to your two state senators. Their phone numbers are listed below.
When the receptionist answers your call, state your name and city of residence. Then explain:
"The Violence Against Women Act has engaged in widespread discrimination against male victims of domestic violence. I am calling to ask Senator __________ to help reform this harmful law."
If the receptionist requests additional information, refer them to RADAR's Special Report, "VAWA Programs Discriminate Against Male Victims" (http://www.mediaradar.org/docs/VAWA-Discriminates-Against-Males.pdf)
Your call will make it easier for our lobbyists to get the face-time they need to explain why VAWA requires a total overhaul. And let's hope Mr. Biden makes for a better presidential candidate than constitutional law professor. See the RADAR site for a list of all the senators' phone numbers by state.

It's no wonder he belittled male victims.
Uttering that one monosyllabic word had to hurt; destroying decades of his work demonizing men and turning them into a scapegoat for the problem of violence.
Those three letters are threating to his chances of gaining power posing as a champion for women at the expense of men.
Two thoughts
First, isn't Biden chairman of the foreign relations committee? How'd he become an 'expert' in this domestic issue? It's mostly a rhetorical question, but does anyone know? (and, yes, I do know of his family history)
Second, they'll have to hold committee hearings at some point before any bill comes up. I'm not sure which committee would be involved... But does anyone know if there's maybe someone on this committee who might be sympathetic to the actual truth and would have the conejos to present it and raise the fairness issue? Maybe I'm naive, but I don't think the entire system is 100% corrupt.

THE COMMITEE REFUSED TO ALLOW TESTIMONY OF "HOSTILE" WITNESSES
Mr. Feibert was available and asked to testify.
They wouldn't allow it.

Eh
I'm surprised that men were mentioned at all. I may be an optimist, but at least it's a start.
Delaware Must Have An Inferiority Complex
Delaware is a small state in landmass but do they have to get even smaller by sending "Mad Dog" Joe Biden back to the Senate each time there is a chance to dump him? Men in Delaware have to vote for this piece of misandric garbage as much as women do or he would not get reelected!
Biden "Mao Tse Tung" Clone?
Mao, that great communist genius, would have been proud of last year's committee hearings on the reauthorization of VAWA, chaired by Joe "Father of Misandry" Biden, which were a textbook example of how to easily and cheaply subvert democracy.
All you have to do is use technical committee process rules, and a little back-room dealing, to eliminate dissenting opinions --- even those by real experts in the field of domestic violence research.
Biden was shamelessly arrogant and confident in his ability to manipluate the process.
I suspect he's been having tea with NOW's Kim Gandy on a regular basis.
The acceptance of dissenting opinions is at the very heart of actual democracy.
FemAmerica is less and less open to this principle ... during the American Revolution, these forums were called "village halls" and people eagerly and fearlessly debated.
Of course, our founding fathers and their "followers" --- actually scratch that label --- they were not subservient or following anybody ...
they were in fact CITIZENS ---
mostly self-sufficient farmers and artisans and small merchants, rather than our contemporary population of terrified wage-slave "errand boys for grocery clerks..."
(Homage to Col. Kurtz --- Apocalypse Now and Forever ... Redux.)
I used to have a sig line --- "It's a terrible thing, living in fear." (Blade Runner)
Perhaps it is time to update it ---
"Fear is living with terrible things?"
Not sure this had anything to do with mention of male victims
January 23, 2007 (RADAR alert to Sen. Biden)
One begins to wonder what to say to a dullard like obtuse Senator Joe Biden, after so many FAXes, phone calls, letters and emails are sent to him, educating him to the truth about domestic violence and all the major problems with domestic violence law.
On the occasion of that RADAR alert (link at top), I sent FAXes to all of Sen. Biden's offices, then sent hard copies (snail mail) of what I'd FAXed. I also sent emails to all his offices I had access to. The pictures I sent along in the letters were very nice full color reproductions on high quality photo paper - very sharp looking.
I basically sent what RADAR requested, then added a couple of photos and told the Senator that on seeing these two truck signs, uniformed Los Angeles Police Dept. Officers stopped their black and white patrol cars "in the street" to give me a "thumbs up." Yes, this happened not once, but twice with these very same truck signs.

Domestic Abuse Law Vilifies Innocent Men
I then told Senator Biden, "People in America, in all walks of life, are becoming more and more aware of the major problems with VAWA - every day."
I then asked Senator Biden, "so when is Senator Biden going to catch on?"
In Conclusion:
# I suspect a significant number of people in Senator Biden's office saw those two photos.
# I suspect having police cars in those photos might indicate to Senator Biden and his staff that police are in "communication" with male victims of domestic violence (and male victims of domestic violence law) on some level.
# I suspect Senator Biden and his staff can see that the public is being made aware of "problems" with domestic violence law on an ever increasing scale.
