'Boston College is moving to discipline a student who allegedly wrote anonymously on Facebook that he had raped three women while at BC, before later turning himself in to university police and administrators to tell them the online post was a hoax.

Chebator said BC officials were alerted to the post shortly after it appeared. Administrators and the Boston College Police Department launched an investigation.

Later that evening, “a student came forward on his own to BCPD and admitted that the entire post was a hoax,” Chebator’s email said. “The student appeared quite remorseful; nevertheless, this matter will continue to be investigated and the student will be referred to the student conduct system for resolution of this matter.”'

Seriously, this guy is a jackass. Making a false confession to any serious crime w/out any apparent reason is actually well-beyond jackassinine. If he's not certifiable in some significant way (I mean DSM-I stuff, not some latter-day thing but some true, classic, authentic barking-at-the-moon, howling mad nutsery), I'd be very surprised.

Matt, I understand and respect your opinion. But may I suggest we have more respect for our brother in Boston?

If a woman falsely accuses a man of rape, some feminists gather around her, support her and declare "falsely accused men can learn from false rape accusations."

We men must do the same. The Boston papers (no, this was not internet exaggeration: this was reported in the newspapers and on the college campus papers) are claiming this is an example of "Rape Culture."

The title of my submission here was "Rape Hysteria Culture." When the media consitently vilifies men, some weaker ones among us may take out their anger and believe the lie.

This is what has happend in Boston and this is the point of my post: that feminist hysteria over exagerrated rape claims ( one if four women will be raped ) can possibly damage otherewise good men.

We are all brothers in this battle with the feminist.
