Story here. Excerpt:
'The local chapter of the Left Party, a socialist and feminist political party, in Sormland County Council, Sweden, is pushing to make standing while peeing illegal for men using the county council's public restrooms.
According to the Local, supporters of the proposal say sitting while urinating is more hygienic and promotes sanitary restroom habit for male users. It will help to eliminate the problem of puddles on the floor and spray stains on toilet seats. They also argue that urinating while sitting will help to promote male health because it allows men to empty their bladder more effectively. Sitting while urinating according to advocates will reduce prostate problems among men.'

"The Pee Police"
Anyone remember the 1979 song The Dream Police? If you use your imagination, you could adapt the lyrics for this case. :)
It's been said that good gov't makes no law it can't enforce. So how would such a law be enforced? Cameras in the men's rooms? Spot inspections by police like in Singapore?
But anyway, such a law only further exposes feminists' actual motives: f*cking with men. Of all the many things that could be a cause celebre for them, it's men's peeing habits.
Beats purusing true equal rights, such as equal repro rights for men. That's not an issue for them, but I wouldn't really expect it to be.
If the problem of spray
If the problem of spray stains on the toilet seat occurs in unisex or shared toilets, then eliminating standing will not fix it. Those stains are caused by women "hovering".
peeing
The real reason that feminists have demanded the change
is because men have an advantage in that using urinals
takes far less time than sitting down and therefore
there is not much queueing unlike all the females you see
waiting with their handbags in their hand.It must be disconcerting for them and they have therefore decided men should not have this advantage.
Feminism shows its illogical and malicious underbelly
This is totally over the top. Feminists are just exercising their power over men, with a mean and vicious streak, with no real justification. They seek to use legislation to dominate and control men. They seek to let men know, on an ongoing basis, that it is not OK to be a man. We might as well legislate that women can't cry... people will do what they do... regardless of the law.
Enforcement
As I said, how're they going to enforce such a patently ludicrous law?
Even laws that clearly make sense and are to clear social advantage can often not be enforced, and so compliance, even by largely well-meaning and cooperative populations, don't get complied with consistently, or even for the most part.
Example: Making a lane's distance from any police car pulled over by the roadside. There are a couple states here in the US that require drivers to steer into a leftwise lane at least one lane distant on a multi-laned highway in an effort to avoid hitting a police officer who may be out of his car. This is entirely defensible and is a broadly-supported law. However many times it is not practical due to the density of cars on the road. Or, one may not see the police car in time to make the required change. But if even these are not factors, when drivers fail to comply out of ignorance, laziness, or indifference, there is no practical means of enforcement.
Point is-- just how would you enforce such a ludicrous law as no-peeing-standing-up when a popular, not-nearly-as-privately-reviewable law such as one described above is next to impossible to enforce?
I can only conclude as others have that this law has nothing to do with bathroom cleanliness or men's health. It has to do with feminists trying to f*ck with men.
