Fathers rights group opposes presence of activist judge on bench
Article here. Excerpt:
'What is most troubling with Judge Mawla is that he did pro bono work at WAFA House, which stands for Women Against Family Abuse. It is there that he helped abused women file restraining orders, find shelter and receive job training and financial assistance. Given that domestic violence allegations seem to exist mostly in divorce and custody related matters, Mawla made his fortune off of women making domestic violence allegations against men. He has a built-in gender bias against men and should not be sitting in judgment in Family Court matters.
...
Judge Mawla has incarcerated John Waldorf for owing alimony arrearages. However, it was Mawla who made the insane order that Waldorf pay over $8,000 per month in alimony and child support at the time of Waldorf's divorce. Or, in other words, Waldorf was ordered by Mawla to pay almost $100,000 in alimony.
According to the divorce transcripts and judgment of divorce Mawla told Waldorf he wasn't making enough money and doubled his alimony. This goes against the law in New Jersey. Waldorf presented 10 years of federal tax returns showing that his best year ever was $147,000 gross salary. Subtracting federal and state income taxes and social security FICA tax, Waldorf's net income is less than $100,000--that is if he made $147,000 every year. Upon review of 10 years of tax returns, Waldorf has never made that amount and has always made less. Waldorf is paying over 100% of his income. And, now he's in jail and his employer will not hold his job much longer.'

Personally, I would've left out the first paragraph
It's distracting from the point and probably irrelevant. That the judge is Muslim doesn't matter and using "Jihadist" to describe him seems unfounded. "Feminist ideologue"? Yes. "Jihadist"? No. Jihadist implies Taliban-like and I don't see any evidence that this guy is about doing the kinds of things they might support. But he does seem to be about doing the kinds of things feminists support.
