Lacrosse lawyers fight Duke subpoena
Article here. Excerpt:
'DURHAM – Duke University lawyers trying to fend off a lawsuit want to question and perhaps make witnesses out of two attorneys who are representing three members of the school’s 2005-06 men’s lacrosse team.
Durham lawyer Bob Ekstrand on Labor Day filed a motion to quash subpoenas Duke’s lawyers have issued to him and fellow attorney Stefanie Smith. They invoked attorney/client privilege.
The subpoenas came as Duke gathered evidence for its defense against the lawsuit from 38 former members of the team that gained unwanted fame in 2006 after stripper Crystal Mangum lodged a false rape charge.
Ekstrand’s three clients are not among the 38, but they are pursuing a lawsuit of their own that closely parallels the claims lawyers for the 38 have made.'

Let's hope there are more lawsuits
Witch-Hunting Males has become an epidemic in American society. What happened to the Duke Lacrosse players is a prime example. Let's hope this lawsuit against those involved in perpetrating false accusations against innocent men is the beginning of a trend.
