'Springboro, OH (WKEF/CNN) - A 14-year-old boy faces rape charges after being accused of having sex with a 12-year-old girl at school.

The incident allegedly happened during school hours.

Both say it was consensual, but that doesn't matter under Ohio law.

The Warren County prosecutor says they were able to get out of class and hook up.

Now the boy is charged with rape because the girl is under the age of 13.

It makes no sense to ruin the life of a young boy, because he and his willing participant made one bad decision. He did not force himself on her, and their age difference is only two years. To call this rape is to trivialize the term. The word rape implies an unwilling participant. There was no unwilling participant in this situation. Thus, to call it rape is an unjust and outright lie, and to charge only the boy is a hate crime! He's under 18 too, and by this insane logic, that means she "raped" him too. It makes me sad that a boy's life is going to be ruined because a few idiots want to criminalize teenage sex. Ohio, you have some insanely stupid laws!
