Woman faces charges in home circumcision
Story here. Excerpt:
'PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - A woman accused of attempting to circumcise her baby at home using a box cutter and a pair of pliers faces assault and criminal mistreatment charges.
Keemonta Peterson, 29, of Portland, told police she decided to circumcise her baby at home after reading the Bible. She said she watched some YouTube videos about circumcisions before making the attempt in October, according to The Oregonian.
After the 3-month-old boy suffered two hours of uncontrolled bleeding, she called 911 and the baby was rushed to a hospital where he was initially listed in critical condition. The boy appeared to have recovered with no permanent injury.
According to the prosecutor, a doctor described the baby's condition upon arrival at the hospital as life-threatening, and the pain as immense.'

No Permanent Injury?
The boy appeared to have recovered with no permanent injury.
So when did a circumcision become a "no permanent injury?"
Psychological scars are "permanent injury"
It's strange how psychological trauma is not considered "permanent injury" when it comes to males. This is just as true in the soldier area as it is in the circumcision area. But when it comes to women, just making comments about sex is considered to be a great injury. Talk about skewed perceptions...
I just wonder
I wonder what the justice system will do to this woman? I mean, can you imagine how the public, due to manipulation of the press would react if it were a female baby that had her clitoral hood removed by her father? Make the system accountable, as well as the woman.

Perhaps the hospital stiched him up
Maybe the Hospital reattached the cut portion and did not complete the job. Either way his genitals will be mutilated and scared so there is still life long injury but you can't expect a news organization to report that
