India: Mum throws baby from hospital window

'An Indian woman who gave birth prematurely to twins has been arrested in Mumbai for allegedly throwing one of her children from a hospital window, police and hospital officials said.
The woman dropped the baby girl from a ground floor bathroom window of the KEM Hospital in central Mumbai early on Tuesday morning. The infant was found but had suffered head injuries and later died.
The girl's mother initially claimed that her daughter had been stolen but security camera footage showed her going into the toilet with the baby and emerging without her.'

stop using words of respect to address women
In the article, the hospital administrator is quoted as saying: "We don't know what made the lady take such a drastic step." It's time we stopped calling all women "ladies" by default. This woman was absolutely not a lady. As this case so clearly shows, women do not deserve our respect just because they are women. Women should be required to earn our respect. I for one do not hold doors open for women, pull out their chairs when they sit down, or otherwise engage in antiquated chivalrous acts that imply a default respect for women.

The whole phrasing in sympathetic and humanizing. What made her... lady... drastic step. She's a cold blooded murderer, its not about mishandling a problem.
