'It seems to me that if you had deliberately devised a plot to oppress women, it couldn’t get more diabolical than this. Highly educated, progressive and enlightened mothers don’t need men to oppress them. They’re perfectly capable of oppressing themselves!

Her new book (Le Conflit: La Femme et La Mère, translated as Conflict: The Woman and the Mother) argues that the moral requirements of modern motherhood – especially the back-to-nature, eco-mommy trend – have struck a blow to women’s freedom. “Women’s lives have grown more difficult in the last 20 years,” she told The New York Times. “Professional life is ever harder, ever more stressful and unattractive, and on the other hand, there is an accumulation of new moral duties weighing on women.”'

I'd bet that 100% of this "oppression" originated with women. There is no masculine domination at all involved here, just the desire for absolute safety for women and "their" children running amok.

Well we all know that feminists are dysfunctional and crazy. They have painted themselves into a corner where nothing can satisfy them and they become ever more ludicrous in their thinking. I don't expect the lunacy to stop though, rather ever more extreme measures will be taken so that reality is made to fit the theory.

Umm, isn't the ability to carry, give birth to, and provide for infants the very epitome of what it is to be female? Isn't the whole motherly nurturing instinct the argument feminists use to argue that women can't commit violent crimes, murder or rape?

Trust me, take away the mommy part from women, and it won't be anyone "oppressing" women because if women cannot serve that basic purpose then women will no longer be placed on the high pedestal that men put them on. Feminism will fail and true equality will reign as women will be lowered in status to that of men. So go for it gals, make women feel like babies are oppressive to them, and make the world believe it. You'll see quick enough that life will get much more difficult if you can no longer claim to be the givers of life and the carers of infants.

It seems women are beginning to question just how great it is to have what men have always done.
It seems that they didn't antipate the toxic workplace pressure and stress that always gave men the higher heart disease and suicide rates, as well as all the ulcers and hernias you can shake a stick at.

enjoy it ladies! you reap what you sow, you got what you ask for. I love developments like this; it's like it's all just been one long episode of the twilight zone...what an ironic ending.
