'Plans to give anonymity to men accused of rape have been dramatically scaled back.
Two weeks ago, the coalition pledged to give men the same protection as their accusers, whose identities are never revealed.
But yesterday David Cameron indicated the accused would be named if prosecutors brought charges.
His comments, at Prime Minister's Questions, suggested any suspects released by police without charge would have their names permanently shielded from the public.'

Does not surprise me in the least. Expect nothing from these people and do all you can to obstruct them.
how would it have been to argue for their original stance?

the imbalance of power comes from the fact that the accuser has anonymity and the defendant does not. Since when is public conviction without court conviction part of the legal process?
In truth public opinion sides with the accuser; thats why the accused are assaulted and harassed. While we're at it lets give men rights that women don't have when it comes to domestic violence, because men don't report it as often.
it just seemed like a golden opportunity for them to stand their ground.
So Where Are The Men?
Obviously no men or men's rights group protested this about face (and slap in the face)by this sellout politician. I guess there was football on the tele over there.
There is no real reason a supposed rape victim has a right to anonymity anyway. Just a left over relic from the 1800's.
Scum is what he is.
Cameron is worse than the women who brought this about. Like most politicians he is a pussy-whipped slave to feminism and he doesn't even have left wing ideology as an excuse. I piss on him and all his kind.

Talk About Twisted Reasoning
To claim that having a level playing field (in terms of anonymity) in court would be discrimination against women, that has no logical foundation on which to rest. It is a sad mile marker on the path to societal self-destruction, that we let these clearly nonsensical statements be made publicly, and leave them unchallenged. Cameron has shown his colors, and we can expect more feminist domination from his administration.
Time to start naming the women!
Every man accused of rape to demand to speak with the press and then give the alleged victim's name out.
There is no reason to shield one and not the other.
Get the word out!
