Man beaten by Vancouver police files suit against city, cops, investigators

Story here. Good for him! Excerpt:

'A Vancouver man who was mistakenly beaten by two police officers says Delta police have botched their investigation of the incident.

In the early hours of Jan. 21, Yao Wei Wu, 44, was woken up, dragged out of his house on Lanark Street and beaten by two police officers in plain clothes.

Wu, a tiling subcontractor, suffered fractures to his face and injuries to his legs and back. His eyes were swollen shut. His wife, Chi Nan Man, who was present during the assault, says she has suffered serious psychological trauma.

Vancouver police subsequently apologized, saying the officers had been called to a domestic-violence incident but had got the wrong address.

Police Chief Jim Chu asked the Delta police to conduct an “independent” investigation into the matter.'

the Canadian justice system is the most corrupt and vile thing you could ever imagine.

He actually believed POLICE would conduct a proper investigation of other police officers?

Teacher/doctor/Priest/male accused of touching a woman in a way that made her feel uncomfortable - career gone. No investigation necessary, just straight to punishment.

Cops nearly kill this guy who is completely innocent of any wrong doing cause they went to the wrong house based on an anonymous tip - they are not even suspended and the guy is told to piss off and leave them alone.

Yet, Canada is in a state of mourning right now cause some OPP officer was shot and killed while on highway patrol outside London Ontario yesterday and it's constant non-stop news. Prepare for laws requiring police to beat the living hell out of anyone they pull over just in case to prevent something like that from ever happening to a "Canadian Hero" (traffic cop = hero? Really? To who? I've never known anyone to enjoy getting a speeding ticket) ever again.

In the next year or so drive really slow when you come to Canada, the OPP will be MUCH more aggressive with people they pull over. A relative of mine is a member of the OPP police force and she is already saying she will take fewer chances when pulling people over in the future which means - you move, she'll beat you.
