Soldier mom refuses deployment to care for baby

Story here. I sympathize, of course. I just wonder if "Single dad refuses deployment to care for baby" would elicit the same tone of writing. I am sure if someone took the time to ask, they could find a single dad deployed overseas in similar circumstances. I just doubt his story would get published. Excerpt:

'SAVANNAH, Ga. – An Army cook and single mom may face criminal charges after she skipped her deployment flight to Afghanistan because, she said, no one was available to care for her infant son while she was overseas.

Spc. Alexis Hutchinson, 21, claims she had no choice but to refuse deployment orders because the only family she had to care for her 10-month-old son — her mother — was overwhelmed by the task, already caring for three other relatives with health problems.

The Army requires all single-parent soldiers to submit a care plan for dependent children before they can deploy to a combat zone.

Hutchinson had such a plan — her mother, Angelique Hughes, had agreed to care for the boy. Hughes said Monday she kept the boy for about two weeks in October before deciding she couldn't keep him for a full year.

Hughes said she's already having to care for her ailing mother and sister, as well as a daughter with special needs. She also runs a daycare center at her home, keeping about 14 children during the day.'

Maybe she should have though about this before she decided to pop out another human being without the father around to care for it, and with out any plan except for 'mom will bail me out like she always does'.

I use to see this all of the time in the Navy. A woman would be attached to a ship getting ready to deploy, and she wouldn't want to go out on deployment. All of the sudden she would just happen to get pregnant, and bingo instant shore duty. Sure she gets to miss the deployment, never mind the life altering consequences of her reckless action for the father of the baby, and the child.

The West is dying and goofy women like this are helping it along.

She didn't have any intentions of living up to her obligation as a soldier to endure hardships that civilians are not subject to. That is what makes a soldier.

Of course the Army does have some responsibility for this farce by allowing slutty females with bastard brats to join.
They always will fail.

This has happened before and the slut got off by declaring a hardship. This will happen to the slut too. Of course if a single dad did this he would be court martialed and deservedly so.

This is the Andrea Yates syndrome in effect. Female murders 5 children one bright morning and she gets not guilty by TEMPORARY insanity. A male downloads a picture of some brat's ass and he gets 100 years in prison.
