To help boys, school creates the poster men for reading

Story here. Excerpt:

'Last September, if you had asked Nehemiah Wimbish what he thought of reading, chances are he would have rated it down there with doing math and eating tomatoes. Yuck, yuck, and nasty.

So how could it be that the same boy and several sixth-grade pals were making the rounds at their Glassboro middle school last week, touting the joys of the written word to other boys like themselves?

"We got inspired by seeing people read," Nehemiah, 11, told one fourth-grade class. "We want to encourage young men like y'all to do well."'

Devote a little space between Grrrl Power posters for a few posters urging boys to read, throw out Jane Eyre and give them books they like, chill out with the "Boys Are Stupid" t-shirts and give them "Real Men Read" ones and...

Forget learning styles, excess energy, and Ritalin. Just chuck the misandry and show some genuine concern for them and...boys do well.

The USA has its share of problems but I'm pretty happy here. The only issue I have with Hillary as of late is her rhetoric where she believes women & girls should come first while ignoring the problems men & boys face. I especially have a problem with elevating the needs of one child over another. However, I would say Obama with his lips attached to NOW's ass combined with VAWA Joe are more detrimental to our movement. As for Hillary's vagina? I choose not to think about that.

If America continues down its current path it will either end up as ash, a bankrupt banana republic or a totalitarian dictatorship. At least ash would be fair and equitable for both men and women.
