Calif. pastor jailed for drugging, abusing 5 girls

Story here

'MORENO VALLEY, Calif. - A California pastor has been sentenced to life in prison for beating and drugging her five adopted daughters and locking them in a garage.

Jessica Banks, 65, received consecutive life terms Friday after being convicted in July of sexually abusing two of her daughters and forcing all the sisters to go without food for days.

Banks was arrested in 2005 after one emaciated girl was found lying outside a Moreno Valley business.

Prosecutors say the sisters, who were ages 4 to 11 at the time, lived in a hidden room in Banks' garage with no air conditioning or heating.

They attended school at the Word of Life Apostolic Church, where Banks was pastor.'

This woman is AT LEAST as sick as Phillip Garrido, and I mean Phillip was assisted the whole way by his wife Nancy Garrido, who much like Karla Hamolka was to Pual Bernardo, turned an already dangerous man into the worst of the worst. Just as sometimes women are forced to do things by men, sometimes men are motivated to do things they never would have done otherwise by women. Paul Bernardo (never killed anyone until he met Karla and claims she's the only one who ever killed anyone), and Phillip Garrido are perfect examples of this.

This woman on the other hand, proves women can be vile, cruel, sadistic monsters all on their own. Men can do horrific things to, but these days we seem to hold women up as some shining example of purity and virtue, incapable of such horrors that men are. Well, I for one believe neither gender has the monopoly on depravity and that both genders commit evil deeds equally.

Thing is, we should start judging people as individuals, not based on gender. We should not vilify all men for the acts of some, and we should not excuse the horrors of sick evil women based on mythical virtue inherit only in the absence of a Y chromosome.

This woman gets five sentences telling the tale in as little detail as humanly possible. Garrido will be covered for years until he finally gets his death sentence carried out after they pin some unsolved murder on him. This woman will not likely spend one whole year behind bars, yet her acts seem AT LEAST as cruel and sadistic as anything Garrido is formally accused of doing at this point (though I concede he will be charged with murder eventually as to much money has been spent on the investigation regardless of facts discovered or not)

What do you guys think? Think this woman is as sick as Garrido? Wondering why CNN and Fox news don't cover her twice an hour, seven days a week? Despite the fact that personally I think there has been WAY to much news about Garrido already and they should shut the hell up and let the facts be told at a trial, in the name of gender equality, where's the press on this woman?

"Jesus Loves You, But Your Mom Doesn't"

Another fine example of women's moral superiority.
